Dow Waste Management – SY215C with hi-rise cab retrofit
SANY and fabrication specialist Walkerweld have joined forces to give a waste disposal specialist a bit of a lift.
Cumbernauld-based Dow Waste Management was in the market for a 22-tonne excavator in waste handling specification and its first stop was Sany.
Teaming up with Glasgow welding and fabrication specialist Walkerweld, Sany supplied a SY215C machine with a 1.2-metre cab elevation, a crucial requirement for Dow’s application.
Powered by a Tier 4 interim Isuzu engine and combined with Kawasaki hydraulics, the SY215C performed beyond expectations during demonstrations at a site in the central belt and a deal was quickly concluded.
“We heard a lot of good things about the Sany excavators operating across the country and decided to put them to the test,” explained director Marshall Dow.
